Arriving around 10:30 lets you see all three morning feedings in a row, and arriving at 15:00 does the same in the afternoon.
Feedings take place twice a day in each of the three tanks. The schedule may change, and according to a travel guide it is posted on a board near the entrance.
The halls are cool because of the air conditioning, and the lighting is dim. It is worth bringing a light layer.
Flash photography is not allowed near the main tank.
A visit usually takes one and a half to two hours.
On weekday mornings, right after opening, it is quieter than in the afternoon.
The aquarium is built around named tunnel zones. In the Coral Reef Zone you walk through a clear acrylic tunnel among schools of colourful fish. In the Open Ocean Zone large predators swim, including blacktip reef sharks, bigeye jacks and giant groupers. The Giant of Siam Zone has an artificial shipwreck that serves as a home for freshwater fish and food fish from Thailand.
Each tunnel zone has historical and educational information. According to a travel guide, shallow reef tanks are near the entrance, and deeper, darker displays come further inside. Residents include nurse sharks, large groupers, schools of silver fish, sea turtles and otters. The official website also presents a schools program, an ocean class with expert staff, and a program for corporate groups.
The tunnels are more than 105 metres long, with a 180-degree view. The jellyfish zone is relatively new, and according to the official website it is the largest jellyfish display in Thailand.
The touch pool presents coastal creatures from around Thailand in rock pools, and you can touch them. According to a travel guide, children touch starfish and small stingrays there under staff supervision.
The Magic Tank is, according to the official website, the only tank of its kind in Thailand, and it is built on an interactive concept of mystical gravity.
The outdoor area has sandy shores and rocky rapids, designed like a private island. According to the official website the otters come from Indonesia, and the reptile zone shows reptiles from around the world.
