Good to know

At Choui Fong you visit the tea fields and the café. The main production site is closed to visitors.

About the place

The Choui Fong tea plantation lies on hillsides in the Pa Sang area of Mae Chan district. Visitors walk along paths between the rows of tea, and at the top of the hill there is a café with 150 seats and windows facing the fields, with a viewing terrace above it. The café serves oolong and green tea, hot and cold. The main production site of the plantations is not open to visitors.

The Mae Kajan geyser is on Highway 118, between kilometers 64 and 65. Traveling from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai it is on the left side of the road. Hot water shoots up like a fountain in front of the pools, and people passing on the road can see it too.
