Frequently asked questions

What to know before you book

When does the ticket's validity start?
The ticket becomes valid the moment you first board the bus, not from the purchase date. For example, a 24-hour ticket purchased on Monday but first used on Tuesday at 12:00, will be valid until Wednesday at 12:00. Therefore, it's worth planning the first use in a way that maximizes the ticket's benefits.
How do you identify the bus stops?
The Hop-On Hop-Off bus stops are clearly marked with large red signs and the bus logo. Each stop also has an updated schedule and a route map. The driver and the bus staff will announce each stop before arriving at it, so you won't miss your destination. In most tourist areas, the stops are in prominent, easy-to-identify locations.
Can tickets be bought on the bus itself?
Yes, tickets can be purchased directly from the driver on the bus at any of the stops. Payment is made in cash only (Thai baht). If you'd like to pay by credit card, you can buy tickets at the main sales point at Terminal 21 (ground floor, Gate 1). It's recommended to book in advance through us to secure a discounted ticket and save time.
How long do you need to wait between buses?
Generally, buses arrive at each stop about an hour apart, according to the schedule. During rush hours or especially busy days, delays of 10-15 minutes are possible. At popular stops like Terminal 21, Central Festival and Walking Street, bus frequency may be higher. The bus service's official app lets you track the next bus's location in real time.
Is the bus air-conditioned?
The bus is a double-decker. The lower deck is fully air-conditioned and comfortable even on hot days. The upper deck is open and airy, with panoramic views and a better outlook, but it is not air-conditioned. In the hot hours of the day (between 12:00 and 15:00) we recommend sitting on the lower deck. In the early morning or late afternoon the upper deck is more pleasant.
Does the bus have a restroom or drinking water?
There are no restrooms on the bus, but stops are frequent (every 10-15 minutes) and public restrooms are near most stops, especially at shopping centers and tourist attractions. Drinking water is not provided free, so bring a personal water bottle, especially for the sun-exposed upper deck. You can buy water and soft drinks on the bus at a reasonable price.
