EasyKart has operated in Thailand since 2004 and, according to the official website, is open 365 days a year. In Pattaya it has two sites: near Bali Hai Pier, a few steps from Walking Street, and on Thepprasit Road.
Bali Hai has two tracks by the sea. According to a travel guide, the beginner track is 350 metres long and the racing track is 800 metres long, with straights, tight corners and a small bridge section. The site is about 100 metres from Walking Street.
On Thepprasit Road is EasyKart's newer track in Pattaya. According to the official website it is technical, with precise corners, and it is designed to challenge drivers.
Each race lasts eight minutes, roughly 10 to 15 laps depending on speed. New races start every ten minutes. A digital timing system records every lap, and you can compare results between drivers. Each of the two sites has a beginner track and an advanced track.
Before every race there is a mandatory safety briefing covering the kart controls, track rules, flags and what to do in an incident. A full-face helmet in various sizes is provided on site and is mandatory. Marshals accompany every race and can stop a kart remotely when necessary.
Closed sports shoes are mandatory, and flip-flops, sandals and high heels are not allowed. You can rent shoes on site, with new socks. There is a private changing area for women and disposable head coverings to wear under the helmet. A full racing suit is not mandatory, and some venues provide one. Loose or flowing clothing and accessories that could interfere with driving are not allowed during the race.
Spectators have viewing areas and a panoramic terrace, and food and drinks are sold on site: snacks, fast food and pizza.
